In the Government Meeting of December 10, 2021, the Decision for the amendment of art. 19 paragraph (8) of GD no. 1179/2014 on the establishment of a state aid scheme in the livestock sector.
This normative act establishes the increase of the state aid, for the year 2021, from 40 million lei to 70 million lei, an amount that falls within the ceiling approved for the period 2015 - 2022, respectively 759,250,000 lei.
Following this amendment, the distribution of the amounts by species was also modified, in proportion to the funds requested by the initial annual applications, respectively 30,817,000 lei for cattle, buffalo, pigs and equines and 39,183,000 lei for sheep and goats.
The funds are provided from the state budget, within the budget provisions approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for 2021.
The objective of the State aid scheme is to cover the administrative costs of drawing up and maintaining the herd book, as well as those of tests to determine the genetic quality or genetic yield of livestock.
The aid is provided in the form of subsidized services to individual and family businesses, authorized natural persons, natural persons holding a producer certificate / producer certificate, as appropriate, as well as legal persons engaged in animal husbandry.
The state aid intensity is:
1. a) up to 100% of the administrative costs of drawing up and maintaining herd books;
2. b) up to 70% of the costs of tests performed by third parties or on behalf of third parties to determine the genetic quality or genetic yield of livestock.
